Thanks to continued support from our
contributors, the GBOP expanded its information and education
activities to encompass Skagit and Whatcom Counties in September 2003.
The map below shows Skagit and
Whatcom Counties and the northern and western borders of the North Cascades
Grizzly Bear Ecosystem. Our program works primarily with people in Glacier,
Concrete, Rockport, Marblemount, Newhalem, Diablo, and those communities just
outside the western boundary of the grizzly bear recovery ecosystem (e.g. Maple
Falls, Deming, Van Zandt, Acme, Wickersham, Lyman). If you would like more
information about our activities in these areas, or if you would like to get
